CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — One person is dead as a result of a rollover accident Monday afternoon on Cranberry-Rockland Road in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say Harold Burke, 85, of Emlenton, was traveling north on Cranberry-Rockland Road around 1:05 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, his 2006 Chrysler Town & Country exited the roadway.

Police say the vehicle sheared off a utility pole and then rolled over.

Harold Burke was pronounced dead at the scene by Venango County Coroner Christina M. Rugh.

A passenger in the vehicle — Joanne Burke, 81, of Emlenton — was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment of moderate injuries.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department, Community Ambulance, and Penelec assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
