Pedestrian Rushed to Hospital After Being Struck by Vehicle in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Franklin on Tuesday morning.

A dispatcher with Venango County 9-1-1 said the call came in around 6:25 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Eighth Street and Liberty Street.

Franklin Police, Franklin Fire Department, and Community Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

The scene was cleared at 7:20 a.m.

Lt. Gindhart, of the Franklin Police Department, told exploreVenango.com that one pedestrian was transported to UPMC Northwest for treatment.

“We’re following up on that right now to check their condition,” Gindhart said. “We also still have one witness to speak to.”

Lt. Gindhart said the incident remains under investigation.
