UPDATE: Authorities Continue Search for Missing 13-Year-Old Clarion Girl

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Clarion continue to search for a 13-year-old girl who went missing from her Clarion Township home last night.

Thirteen-year-old Shevy McGiffin left her Fraternity Drive residence around 6:45 p.m. to go to the Dollar General Store on South 5th Avenue.

She was last seen in the area of Comet Warehouse and Dollar General, approximately 1/5 of a mile from her home.

Chevy has blonde hair in a pony-tail, is 4’8″ tall with a husky build, and was wearing a pink Under Armour hoodie, pink shorts, and black Nike sandals.

Shevy remains missing as of 6 p.m. today, according to PSP Clarion.

Authorities have classified the case as a Runaway/Missing child investigation.

A representative with PSP Clarion told exploreClarion.com that it was unknown if an Amber Alert would be issued.

The representative said there is no immediate threat to any other children in the area at this time.

Additionally, a prayer service and community gathering will be held tonight for Shevy at 7:30 p.m.

The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 700 Wood Street in Clarion Borough.
