SUV Crashes into Utility Pole, Shuts Down Route 322

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A one-vehicle accident shut down a portion of U.S. Route 322 in Clarion County on Monday morning.

The accident happened around 10:45 a.m. Monday when an SUV crashed into a utility pole near 11410 Route 322 in Paint Township, Clarion County.

The vehicle traveled into the front yard of a residence just off the roadway before coming to a final rest near the pole.

The accident resulted in downed utility wires on the roadway.

Shippenville-Elk Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, Shippenville Ambulance, and Clarion-based State Police were dispatched to the scene.

Electric company workers were also dispatched.

Fire personnel on the scene said no injuries occurred.

U.S. Route 322 reopened around 12:30 p.m.
