Teen Killed in Forest County ATV Crash

FOREST CO., Pa. – A teen was killed on Sunday night in an ATV accident in Kingsley Township, Forest County.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 8:09 p.m., 19-year-old Scott Beers, of Smithmill, Clearfield County, was traveling south on Cemetery Road, in Marienville, Kingsley Township, Forest County, and lost control of his 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV while negotiating a left curve in the roadway.

Beers was thrown from the ATV and also struck a tree.

He was transported by ambulance from the scene to UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

He did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 9:27 p.m.

The ATV sustained major damages.
