BREAKING NEWS: Tractor Trailer Crash Shuts Stretch of Interstate 80

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities say a tractor trailer accident has shut down a portion of Interstate 80 in Clarion and Jefferson counties.

According to a representative of Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, a tractor trailer rollover occurred around 5:32 p.m. at mile marker 79.6 eastbound near the North Fork Bridge.

The representative said the tractor trailer was hauling steel coils.

DuBois-based State Police said the tractor trailer was blocking both eastbound lanes of traffic as of 7:00 p.m.

One person suffered minor injuries.

Brookville Volunteer Fire Company, PSP DuBois, PennDOT, and Brookville Borough Police have been dispatched the scene.

Corsica Volunteer Fire Department and Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department are assisting with traffic control.

Traffic is being detoured off Exit 70, Strattanville, onto U.S. Route 322 through Brookville and then back onto I-80 at Exit 81, Hazen.

The roadway is expected to be closed for several hours.

Specific details on the accident have not yet been released.
