Bridge in Rockland Township Closed Following Inspection

ROCKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A bridge on Dotter Road in Rockland Township is being closed to traffic following the discovery of a problem during a routine inspection.

According to a representative of the Venango County Regional Planning Commission, the bridge which carries Dotter Road over Mill Creek in Rockland Township is being closed after a sheared rivet was discovered during a routine inspection.

The inspector contacted PennDOT, and the decision was made to close the bridge until repairs can be made.

The Venango County Regional Planning Commission will be working with consultant Frank Taylor Engineering.

The timetable for repairs and reopening of the bridge is yet to be determined.
