CRAWFORD COUNTY, Pa. — Work is under way on project that will replace a 56-year-old, structurally deficient bridge on Gravel Run Road (Route 1002) in Woodcock Township, Crawford County.

PennDOT’s Crawford County maintenance forces will replace the 17-foot-long bridge over a dry run with an elliptical pipe.

The project area is located on Gravel Run Road between Swifthill Road and Price Road in Woodcock Township.

On average, approximately 349 vehicles a day use the bridge.

The pipe installation is expected to be completed by May 24.

During that time, a detour is posted using Route 86, Route 198 and Route 77.
