OIL CITY, Pa. — Andrew Burda eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark in the Venango Catholic Vikings 80-55 victory over the Forest Area Fires on Monday night.

The Vikings were able to put together some impressive offensive play while being led by Burda, who exploded for 52 points while adding eight rebounds and four steals.

Forest Area was able to put together a balanced offensive attack with three players scoring double digits, but the Fires were unable to slow down the Vikings.

Venango Catholic’s next game will be Wednesday, January 21 at Clarion.
