Burglars Smash Window at King’s Family Restaurant, Attempt to Steal Cash

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a burglary occurred at King’s Family Restaurant, on Allegheny Blvd., in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Police say sometime between 11:05 p.m. on March 15 and 5:36 a.m. on March 16, an unknown perpetrator(s) gained entry into King’s Restaurant by smashing out a window. While inside the restaurant, the perpetrator(s) removed a cash drawer and fled out the smashed window.

According to police, the empty cash box was discarded at the rear of the parking lot.

There were tracks in the snow indicating the perpetrator(s) parked in a parking lot across from OMG Americas along Two Mile Run Road, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the perpetrator(s) is asked to call PSP Franklin at 814-676-6596.
