BUTLER, Pa. (EYT) – A 33-year-old Butler County man faces several charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of an infant nearly 10 years ago.

State police say 33-year-old Stephen Gary Batchelder, of Butler, allegedly sexually assaulted a 6-month-old girl between November 2002 and March 2003 at a residence in Center Township, Butler County.

He was arrested and charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, indecent assault and endangering the welfare of children.

Batchelder was housed in the Butler County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
