Call to Police Leads to Crystal Meth Bust in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man was arrested after he was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine on Thursday.

Oil City Police filed the following charges against 33-year-old Dustin Joseph Hanna on December 27:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

According to a criminal complaint filed by Ptlm. Jonathan Love, officers were dispatched to a location along East First Street after receiving a call regarding a matter involving Dustin Hanna.

When police arrived on scene, Ptlm. Love patted Hanna down and found a cellophane bag with suspected crystal methamphetamine inside his pants pocket.

Hanna told police that he was planning to sell the crystal methamphetamine because “he was moving out of his apartment and needed the money.”

A detainer was issued by State Probation and Parole and he was lodged In the Venango County Jail.

Hanna was arraigned at 12:00 p.m. on December 27 in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on January 2 with Judge Fish presiding.

Unable to post $2,500.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.
