Cambridge Springs Easily Handles Rocky Grove in D10 2A Consy Game

MEADVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – After losing just two games in the regular season, Rocky Grove has now lost back-to-back postseason contests after falling 73-51 to a Cambridge Springs team it beat by nine in the final regular-season game in the District 10 Class 2A consolation contest at Meadville High School.

The Orioles (21-4), who still qualify for the PIAA playoffs, were never in the game trailing 22-7 at the end of a quarter and 40-15 at halftime.

Tyler Davis led the way for Rocky Grove with 20 points with Travis Perry chipping in 14.

Cambridge Springs was got a game-high 30 points from Turner Kurt, who hit six 3-pointers. Jordan Leandrop added 19 points and Noah Reisenauer 14.

Rocky Grove faces WPIAL champion Sewickley Academy in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs March 11 at a WPIAL site and time to be determined.

Cambridge Springs will take on WPIAL runner-up Our Lady of Sacred Heart also March 11 at a WPIAL site and time to be determined.
