IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a one-car accident occurred early Saturday morning on Clintonville Road, in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 12:12 a.m. 24-year-old Dylan J. Renfrew, of Polk, was traveling west on Clintonville Road, and his 2007 Mazda 3 hit a patch of slush on the roadway. The car slid off the right side of the road and into a ditch. It continued to slide and hit a utility pole.

The car came to a rest at the base of the pole, police say.

Renfrew was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
