TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say around 10:35 p.m. on April 23, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 36, Elm Street, at its intersection with Walnut Street, in Tionesta Borough, Forest County.

According to police, 21-year-old John T. Stigerwalt, of Guys Mills, crossed the roadway in his 2003 Kia Rio and struck a utility pole.

Stigerwalt and a passenger, 21-year-old Ashley M. Cox, of Titusville, were using seat belts.

Stigerwalt suffered minor injuries.

Cox suffered moderate injuries.

Stigerwalt was charged with careless driving.
