Car Slams into Trees in Emlenton

EMLENTON, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred in Emlenton on Tuesday morning.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 10:03 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 20-year-old Bailey N. Bellerive, of Oil City, was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am south on Kerr Avenue toward Emlenton.

Police say Bellerive failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, struck a curb and went off the roadway, striking a road sign and some trees.

Bellerive and her passenger, 21-year-old Tyler L. Cramer, of Oil City, were both wearing seatbelts and were not injured. An infant in the vehicle was in a rear-facing child safety seat and also escaped injury.

Bellerive was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Minich’s Towing.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department and Emlenton Ambulance assisted at the scene.
