Carl GraffMr. Carl U. Graff, 86, formerly of Church Run Road Titusville passed away at 3:09 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Southwoods Assisted Living Community.

He had been a resident there for the past several years.

Mr. Graff was born on November 14, 1930 in Titusville to the late Carl H. and Mildred C. Frutiger Graff. He married Idella M. Palmer on November 11, 1954, at the former St. Paul United Church of Christ. Mrs. Graff preceded him in death on October 16, 2005.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1948.

Mr. Graff was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He entered the service on January 3, 1951, in Buffalo. He was aboard the USS Union-AKA 106, in the Navigation Department. He was honorably discharged on October 29, 1954, with the rank of Seaman First Class.

He was employed by Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. for 44 years as a machinist until his retirement on February 21, 1992.

Carl was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, an honorary member and Past President of the Titusville Lions Club, Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion, and Cyclops Quarter Century Club.

He is survived by a son, Thomas L. Graff and wife Robin of Centerville; a daughter, Ruth Ann Davidson and husband Ted of Baden; 6 grandchildren, Patsy Bennett and husband Eric of Townville, Garrett Graff and wife Ashley of Pittsburgh, Caitlin Davidson of Baden, Matthew Graff of Centerville, Cameron Davidson and wife Emily of Nashville, TN, Olivia Graff and fiancé Joshua Marr of Blooming Valley; a great-grandson, Chapin Bennett; a brother, James Graff and wife Cheryl of Galion, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Graff was preceded in death by a son, Donald C. Graff; and 2 sisters, Mavis Hamm and Marian Head.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Friday at 2:00 PM with Robert Orner, officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
