Carol D. Monrean, 56, of Knox passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013.

Born December 13, 1956, in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Kennuth and Mary Cummings.

Carol was married to John Monrean who survives.

Carol graduated from Keystone High School and then Clarion College. After college she taught pre-school at the IU6 where she retired from. She enjoyed making quilts and giving them to her friends and traveling to New England and to the beach. She was a long time member of the Grace E.C. Church in Nineveh where she played to organ for many years. Most of all Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Along with her husband Carol is survived by a daughter Katelyn Monrean of Knox, a son Andrew Monrean of Harrisville, MO, two grandchildren Brody Monrean of Harrisville, MO, and Adalyn Monrean of Knox. Also surviving is a sister Kendra Schreffler of Shippenville.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held Friday October 4, at 11 AM at the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, 2561 Grace Church Road, Knox with Rev. Rick Osberg officiating. McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
