Carolyn Irene Watson, 72, of Franklin, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born March 9, 1945, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Frederic I. and Opal N. Tingley McCreary.

Carolyn was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Oil City. She enjoyed church, her grandchildren, reading, walking, doing crafts, writing poems, cooking different food, live plants, doing crafts with plastic flowers, flea markets, eating out and doing for others.

Surviving are two sons, Bobby G. Watson and his wife Beatriz of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jeffery S. Watson and his wife Barbara of Oil City; seven grandchildren, Christopher Watson, Michael Watson, Victoria Watson, Nicholas Watson, Zachary Douglas Watson, Jeffery T. Watson, and Jennifer Bechtel; six great-grandchildren; and two Godchildren, Rachell and Jeffery Bowser of Oil City.

Also surviving are a brother, Richard McCreary of Reno, a brother-in-law, Jim Manners of Oil City, a niece Naomi of Reno, a nephew Bob Runninger of Oil City, a great-niece Jennifer Runninger, and a great-nephew Nathan Runninger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas J. Watson and a sister, Mae Manners.

Services will be private and conducted at the convenience of the family.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Interment will be in Old Zion Cemetery in Emlenton.
