Mrs. Catherine Ann Hanna, 49, of Hydetown passed away at 1:25 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Titusville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.

Catherine was born on October 5, 1967, in Titusville to the late Lewis A. and Marjorie Sterling Sweetland. She married Paul Hanna on April 3, 1993, in Hydetown.

She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1985, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Edinboro University in 1989.

Catherine was currently employed by BSI of Titusville for the past 4 years as an investor reporter and prior to that worked for Cross Creek Resort for 21 years in the business office.

She loved the outdoors: gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and going to watch Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. She also made camouflage jewelry and signs.

Catherine is survived by her husband of Hydetown; 2 children, Bradley Hanna and Darci Hanna of Hydetown; a sister, Patricia Brennan and husband Thomas of Titusville; 2 brothers, Robert Sweetland and companion Will Franklin of Cleveland Heights, OH, Andrew Sweetland and wife Sharon of Spartansburg; an uncle, Gerald Sterling, Sr., of Hydetown; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, PA 16354 today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with her cousin, Rev. Jeffrey Sterling, officiating.

Interment will be in Riceville Cemetery.
