Catherine L. Maxwell, 60, of Route 36 Tionesta, PA, died on Sunday October 6, 201,9 at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehab after a period of declining health.

Born in Oil City on February 26, 1959, she was the daughter of the late John D. & Mary C. Lamberton Stack.

Cathy was a graduate of Venango Christian High School. She had worked as a Childrens Advocate at Erie Homes for Children

She enjoyed spending time with her family and was involved with CASA.

She was of the Catholic Faith.

She is survived by her longtime companion Ronald E. Reeher and her two daughters, Beth Frawley & her husband Brian of Lake City, PA, and Joni Schettler & her husband Mike of Tionesta; five grandchildren, Brianna, Benjamin and Beau Frawley, and Thomas and Jameson Schettler; seven step-children, Richard Reeher of Tionesta, Matthew & Lisa Reeher of Tionesta, Beth Phillips of Seneca, Justin & Tammy Reeher of TX, Amanda Wentling of Titusville, Bud Reeher of TX and Tamara & Bob Moore of TX. She is also survived by 13 brothers and sisters: Mary Beth Koziara & her husband John of Oil City, Dan Stack & his wife Barb of Oil City, Jane DeLaRosa & her husband Robert of Tampa, Patty Faunce and her husband Howard of Oil City, Bob Stack & his wife Nancy of West Palm Beach, FL, Linda Stack of Oil City, Theresa & Ed Platt of Oil City, Nancy Gustafson & her husband Ron of Oil City, Barbara Stack of Oil City, Tom Stack & his wife Jackie of Oil City, Rick Stack of Oil City, Anne Stack of Oil City, Jim Stack & his wife Teresa of Oil City, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Opal Reeher of Greenville

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son David Maxwell and special aunt and godmother Lib Stack.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or to VNA Hospice.
