Catherine Louise Rottman, 72, of Karns City, passed away Thursday evening, November 28, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Rottman was born in Butler on October 29, 1941. She was the daughter of James and Eva Zelenski Hurley.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Catherine enjoyed country music and the company of her dog. She was retired from the dietary department at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was married in Chicora on September 23, 1986 to Robert A. Rottman. He survives.

Also surviving are four children, Sharon Carben and her husband, Anthony, of Chicora, John Michael Sheptak and his fiance, Michelle Lasichak, of Chicora, Susan Sheptak of Butler, and Pamela McDeavitt and her husband, Richard, of Karns City; four step children, Lori Campbell and her husband, Mike, of Karns City, Tammy Patten and her husband, Paul, of Butler, Robert Rottman Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Eau Claire, and Jason Rottman and his wife, Tarina, of Knox; three grandchildren, Nathan Carben, Steven Sheptak, and Paige McDeavitt; a brother, Thomas Hurley and his wife, Shirley, of Meridian; a special friend, Bonnie Ross, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Blessing Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main Street, Karns City, with the Rev. John M. Butler, pastor of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, officiating.
