Cell Phone Dispute Lands Teen in Jail

SANDYCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A teen is in jail after allegedly assaulting two individuals at Vision Quest Facility located on South Penn Road, in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

According to court documents, Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 18-year-old Kalin Matthew Little, of Philadelphia.

Police say around 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, Little physically assaulted the victims during a dispute over a cell phone in his possession that he was not authorized to have.

Little was arraigned at 3:30 p.m. on June 13 in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey on the following charges:

– Aggravated Assault, Felony 2 (two counts)
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2 (two counts)
– Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary (two counts)
– Criminal Mischief — Damage Property, Summary (two counts)

Unable to post $15,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on June 21 with Judge Lowrey presiding.
