Chandler David Griffin passed peacefully from this world while being held in the arms of his family at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016.

Chandler David Griffin was born at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016, to Alicia (Vickery) Stevens and Robb Tyler Griffin of Linesville, Pennsylvania.

He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches tall.

After a valiant fight by both Chandler and his medical team at Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh supported by the love and prayers of many friends and family members, he passed peacefully from this world while being held in the arms of his family at 3:40 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was 24 hours 40 minutes old.

In addition to his parents, Chandler is survived by a brother, Landon Michael Griffin, 2, of Linesville. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Connie and Ken Rutter of Venango and Rocky and Beth Vickery of Ravenna, Ohio; and his paternal grandparents Karen (Switzer) Griffin of Conneaut Lake and Robb Griffin and Angi Keller of New Bethlehem.

Chandler is also survived by his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Stevens of Streetsboro, Ohio; his paternal great-grandparents William Switzer of Fairmount City and Jack and Debbie (Burford) Griffin of New Bethlehem; and his paternal great-great-grandmother, Emma Lou (Fink) Burford of New Bethlehem.

He is survived by several uncles and aunts, Nolan Griffin and his girlfriend, Olivia Swift; Nicholas Griffin and his girlfriend, Sierra Howell; Nolan Sovik; Tristan Keller; Alena Keller; Kendra Rutter; Ryan Rutter; Tabitha Vickery; Nick Vickery; and Connor Vickery and his wife, Paige.

Chandler is also survived by several cousins: Kolton Allen Griffin, 4; Kaelin Ann Griffin, 2; and Leon Rutter, 5 months; as well as numerous extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather and namesake, David Stevens; his paternal great-grandmother, Pauline (Clark) Switzer; his paternal great-great-grandparents, Charles A. Burford; and Mack and Rosetta (Reddinger) Griffin; and his paternal uncle, Jonah B. Sovik.

Family members will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Wayne Hennen officiating.

Interment will be at Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
