jordan lambingBUTLER CO., Pa. (EYT) – The Butler County District Attorney expects to file charges soon against a man and his mother in relation to the death of a 4-year-old boy that occurred on Tuesday.

According to a published article on butlereagle.com, Butler County DA Richard Goldinger said on Thursday that he expects to file criminal charges against 20-year-old Keith (Jordan) Lambing (pictured above) and his mother, 43-year-old Kristen Herold, within the next 24 hours.

Goldinger said the charges to be filed will be determined by how the Butler Township Police investigation proceeds.

Police are not commenting on their investigation.

A published article on Pittsburgh Post Gazette indicates that Lambing and Herold are being held in the Butler County Jail on outstanding warrants.

They were arrested by Butler Township Police on Wednesday afternoon.

According to online court documents, Lambing’s criminal record includes charges for theft, fleeing police, disorderly conduct. Current charges included burglary, terroristic threats and harassment.

Herold’s criminal past includes retail theft, driving without a license, forgery, and drugs.

Lambing was taking care of the child, Bentley Miller, at the time of the child’s death.

Lambing, Bentley, Mackenzie Peters (Bentley’s mother), and a four-month-old child of Lambing and Peters were staying at a Super 8 Motel on Route 8.

Peters was working at the time of the child’s death.

Goldinger added that Peters was interviewed and is not believed to be responsible for her son’s death.

On Tuesday morning, Lambing called Herold because the child needed medical attention.

Herold was driving Bentley to the hospital when he lost consciousness on Tuesday morning. She pulled into a parking lot where paramedics and police responded.

Paramedics performed CPR on Bentley before taking him to the hospital where he later died.

The four-month-old infant is in the custody of Butler County Children, Youth, and Family Services.
