Charles A. Cochran, Jr., of 9320 Rt. 666 Sheffield, PA 16347, died Friday evening, July 25, 2014 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA.

Born, May 4, 1943, in Gilfoyle, PA, he was the son of Charles A. Cochran, Sr. and Alma Snyder Cochran. On April 22, 1961 he married the former Judie Rourke.

Chuck was a graduate of East Forest High School and worked for PA Department of Transportation for 35 years, retiring in 1998 as foreman. He was a member of the Marienville First Church of God, Acacia Lodge and Coudersport Consistory. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his wife, Judie, Chuck is survived by four children: Krystalyn Cochran of Polk, PA; Gary Cochran, and his wife, Londa, of Sheffield; Amy Cochran of Tidioute; and Robert Cochran and his wife, Kim, of Marienville.

Additional survivors include five sisters: Myrna Bailey and her husband, James, of Tionesta; Charlotte Rowan of Lake Whales, FL; Mary Spaulding and her husband, Bill, of Goshen, OH; Carolyn Murray of Kane, PA; and Ruth Harp and her husband, Darrell of Marienville.

He will also be missed by four grandchildren: Nicholas, Courtney, Mikayla and Thomas Cochran, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by two brothers, Orie Cochran and Richard Cochran; and three sisters: Nellie Sue Robbins; Elsie Heller; and Jean Cochran.

Family and friends will be received from 2PM-4PM and 6PM – 8PM on Wednesday, July 30 at the Ronald McDonald Funeral Home in Marienville. Additional viewing will be from 1PM to 2PM on Thursday, with the funeral being held at 2PM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Frost Cemetery in Pigeon.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ronald McDonald Funeral Home in Marienville.
