Charles Denny Klingensmith

Charles Denny Klingensmith, 77, of Emlenton, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

He was born on May 7, 1941, in Leechburg to Charles S. and Mabel Hagen Klingensmith.

He graduated from California University of PA and taught Industrial Arts at Allegheny-Clarion Valley Schools for 30 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a subcontractor for Sonneborn, formerly Witco, for many years. He also worked for several other businesses in the Petrolia area.

Denny is survived by his wife, JoAnne. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in August.

Also surviving are two children, Tim Klingensmith and his wife, Chrissy, of Glen Mills, and Denise Kornbau of Wexford; five grandchildren, Sydney, Serena, and Sage Klingensmith and Seth and Nathaniel Kornbau; a brother, Dave Klingensmith and his wife, Barb, of Leechburg; his brothers-in-law, Don Lemmon and his wife, Kathy, of Oregon and Dean Crissman, as well as a number of nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Glee Crissman.

In keeping with his wishes, Denny will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
