Charles GlassCharles M. Glass, 54, of Franklin, died early Monday morning, May 22, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Oil City on March 14, 1963 to the late Edward and Geraldine (Curran) Glass.

Chuck graduated with the class of 1981 from Oil City High School; he then served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Trapper’s Association.

Chuck enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed playing pool, and working with his hands; he was recently restoring a fishing boat.

Mr. Glass worked at Oakwood Rose Gardens, Sloan’s Florist in Oil City, and also at the Reno Warehouse.

He was married in Franklin on June 24, 2013 to the former Lori A. (Thacher) Boozer, and she survives.

Also surviving are four children: Misti McCloud and her husband Brian of Bedford, Ohio, Christopher Glass of Oil City, Matthew Glass of Franklin, and James Glass and his spouse Brad of Grand Junction, Colorado; five grandchildren, Neliah, Jocelyn, and Addison McCloud, and Kyra and Maci Glass.

Also surviving is a step-daughter, Tala Boozer of Marienville; a sister, Amy Lepley and her husband Brian of Franklin; a nephew, Jeffrey Lepley; his father-in-law, Charles Thacher of Marienville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mr. Glass was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Geraldine Glass; and his mother-in-law, Hazel Thacher.

The family is planning a memorial gathering to be held at a later date.

The Hile-Best Funeral Home in Seneca, Cranberry Township is completing funeral arrangements.
