Charolotte WoodsCharlotte J. Woods, 77, of Franklin, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on March 20th, at Sugar Creek Station where she had resided for the past two years.

Born July 3, 1939 in Franklin, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Calvin Eugene and Mary Barnicle Hazlett.

Charlotte worked as a Residential Service Aide for seventeen years at Polk Center. She had a passion for reading, and Ford cars and motorcycles. She especially cherished the times she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Charlotte is survived by her husband of 46 years, Gerald “Jerry” Woods, whom she married June 19, 1970; her two sons, Scott Loomis (Mary Lee Eichholtz) of Franklin; and Brett Loomis (Cynthia Vath) of Polk; and her daughter, Marilyn Toussaint and her husband, Jeff, of Colorado Springs, CO.

She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Crystal Loomis (Nick Peters) of Troy, NY; Jody Mae Loomis of Washington; and Brian Scott Loomis of Franklin; her two great-granddaughters, Elliana and Nicolette Peters of Troy, NY; her brother, Fran Hazlett of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her two brothers, Kenneth J. and Howard W. Hazlett; and her four sisters, Virginia Wagner, Dorothy Tingley, Janet Pierce and Marilyn Hazlett.

Family and friends of Charlotte will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Thursday, March 23rd from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday following visitation. Interment will be in Graham Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
