Child Struck By Vehicle in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – A child was hit by a vehicle in Oil City on Saturday afternoon.

Venango County 9-1-1 told exploreVenango.com that an eight-year-old child was hit by a car at the intersection of Wabash and Colbert Avenues around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14.

Community Ambulance Service, the Oil City Police Department, and the Oil City Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

STAT MedEvac were on standby but later canceled.

Community Ambulance Service transported the child to UPMC Northwest for a knee injury.

The scene was cleared at 4:46 p.m.
