Christmas Day Crash Reported in Polk Borough

POLK BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say there were no injuries and no property damage from a minor crash that occurred in Polk Borough on Christmas Day.

According to police, around 6:26 p.m. on Tuesday, December 25, a crash occurred as a 2011 Toyota Tacoma was traveling east on State Route 62 in Polk Borough.

Police say the vehicle left the roadway on the northern side, striking a ditch and then traveling down the ditch approximately 30 meters before coming to a final rest.

The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, left the scene of the crash prior to the arrival of the police.

There was no property damage and the vehicle was not disabled.

Trooper Cirell of the Franklin-based State Police spoke to the driver via telephone and the driver related he was not injured.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Sugarcreek Towing.
