Thumbnail-13Cindy L. Harrison Luden, age 64, of Marienville, PA and formerly Harborcreek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a short battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, May 1, 2016. She was born in Union City, PA on January 1, 1952, a daughter of Ronald L. Harrison and the late Shirley A. Wright Harrison.

Cindy graduated from Academy High School in 1969 after attending Harbor Creek High School through part of her junior year. She attended classes at Erie County Vocational Technical School for accounting and notary work and took business classes at Penn State Behrend College. In 1978, Cindy founded Luden’s Financial Services. She started the business in the basement of her home. In 1983, Cindy moved the business to Buffalo Road in Wesleyville and, in 1997, moved it to its current location in Lawrence Park Township. She retired in 2007 so she could focus all of her time with youth and mission work.

Her life exemplified that of a good and faithful servant as written in Matthew 25:21. Cindy worked with children and teens from the time she was a teenager until the moment of her passing. In addition to being a Sunday School and vacation bible school teacher, Cindy was a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and a softball coach. She especially loved being a leader with S.W.A.T. (Servants With a Testimony) and a Youth for Christ leader. Having organized the youth camp Inarc in Budapest, Hungary, Cindy loved sharing the love of Christ and training up the next generations. Her love for music, along with her beautiful voice and guitar, went everywhere she went and she blessed us all, including those in Hungary and the Dominican Republic, with her talents.

In addition to her mom, Shirley A. Harrison, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel S. Harrison. They were reunited in glory this week! Praise God!

Cindy married her husband, Mark L. Luden, on April 11, 1970 after dating since they were 13 years old. They recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2016. She was a very involved and loving mother and grandmother to her two children: Christi S. Luden Rzodkiewicz (husband, Bill) and Timothy M. Luden (wife, Carri); and three grandsons: Zachary Daniel Luden, Ryan William Rzodkiewicz and Luke William Rzodkiewicz. She loved to watch her grandsons play football, baseball and basketball. She was a loving big sister to her sister, Terry A. Krystek (husband, Ron) and brother, Ronald D. Harrison (wife, Mary). She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in- law, and close friends, as well as ‘almost’ sons and daughters through the S.W.A.T. and YFC youth groups.

Family and friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 5151 Buffalo Rd. (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service there at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Ben Maxwell. In lieu of flowers, Cindy’s wishes were to have memorial contributions made to S.W.A.T. (Servants With A Testimony), c/o Andrew Tygert, 404 Highland Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, the youth group that Cindy loved and poured her life into.
