Clair E. Wade, Sr., 80, of Osenider Rd., Franklin, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at UPMC Hamot.

Born May 7, 1936 in Van, he was a son of the late Raymond D. and Marie Emenhizer Wade.

Clair served in the US Army.

He retired from Penelec where he worked as a lineman.

Clair was a member of the VFW. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In June 1960, he married the former Sara L. (Sally) Cessna. The shared 56 years of marriage together. She preceded him in death on March 24, 2017.

Surviving are three sons, Clair E. Wade, Jr. and wife Darlene of Seneca, Keith E. Wade and wife Missy of Coudersport and Troy A. Wade of Albion, one daughter Lori L. Diehl and husband Terry of Shippensburg and three grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Hope Thomas, Judy Stinnett and Joy Perkins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Wade, Jr, Tim E. Wade and DeWayne Wade and one sister Midge Blauser.

There will be no visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
