Clarion Announces “Learn to Swim — Learn to Dive” Program Registration

CLARION, Pa. — Clarion University head swimming coach Mark VanDyke has announced the annual “Learn To Swim” and “Learn To Dive” program for the Fall.

The programs are offered for those children ranging in abilities from non-swimmer to swimmer, plus parent-child classes and Competitive swimming.

Registration is set for Tuesday, September 2, and Wednesday, September 3, at Clarion University’s W.S. Tippin Gym Lobby on from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Learn to Swim program will begin with lessons starting on Monday, September 8, and Tuesday September 9. Six sessions will be offered to choose from, with 8 lessons offered to each student attending at a total cost per person of $85. The cost is reduced to $80 for each additional family member.

Competitive Swimming Clinic lessons will cost $85 and start September 8.

Parent/Child Swim Classes are for children age 6-24 months, with a separate class for ages 2-3 and will feature 4 Saturday lessons starting on September 6. Cost is $40.

All checks should be made out to the Clarion University.

The “Learn To Swim” and “Learn To Dive” program will offer six sessions to choose from, including three on Monday and Wednesday evenings, three on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

The three Sessions that meet on Monday and Wednesday include Session A from 5:00 — 5:30pm, Session B from 5:35 — 6:05pm, and Session C from 6:10 — 6:40pm.

The three Tuesday and Thursday Session include Session D which meets from 5:00 -5:30pm, Session E from 5:35- 6:05pm, and Session F from 6:10 — 6:40pm.
