PAINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say today around 2:47 p.m., a two-car accident occurred on State Route 322, just east of Fiberboard Road, in Paint Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 68-year-old Nancy G. Breth, of Shippenville, and 70-year-old Barbara A. Pezek, also of Shippenville, were involved in the collision.

Police say Breth was traveling eastbound on SR 322 and lost control of her 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, went off the roadway, and onto the berm.

As the Cobalt was on the berm and attempting to stop, it then went into the westbound lanes aiming to the north and hit a 2009 Saab Aero 93 — driven by Pezek — in the 12 o’clock position.

After hitting the Saab, the Cobalt then traveled into the parking lot of a local business where it was found at final rest.

After impact, the Saab was pushed into mailboxes then came to a final rest in the same parking lot as the Cobalt.

Breth was transport by air to Presbyterian Hospital for further treatment of injuries caused from the accident.

She was using a seat belt.

Pezek and a female passenger, also of Shippenville, were using seat belts and suffered minor injuries.

They were transported to Clarion Hospital for further treatment.
