Clarion High School to Host Two PIAA Volleyball Semifinal Matches Tuesday

CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) – Although all the District 9 teams have been eliminated from PIAA volleyball playoff action, local volleyball fans have the opportunity to watch a pair of PIAA semifinal game Tuesday when Clarion High School hosts a Class 2A and a Class 3A semifinal.

Action starts at 5:30 p.m. in Class 2A when WPIAL fourth-place finisher Freeport takes on District 6 champion Bald Eagle Area at 5:30 p.m. That will be followed by a Class 3A semifinal between District 10 champion Warren and WPIAL champion Knoch, at approximately 7 p.m. or about a half hour after the finish of the first match if it goes longer than 6:30 p.m.

The winners of the semifinal matches will advance to Saturday’s championships being held at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa.

The other Class 2A semifinal is between District 2 champion Holy Redeemer and District 3 champion Delone Catholic while the other Class 3A semifinal is between District 11 champion Allentown Central Catholic vs. District 3 champion West York.
