“In the second half, the girls did a really good job of getting us back into the game,” Clarion head coach Rob Eaton said. “I thought for twenty minutes we were on top of the game and we started to pass the ball around well.”

IUP outshot Clarion 21-4 in the match.

Stover finished with three of the four Clarion shots in the match. Kathleen Warner recorded the only other shot for the Golden Eagles.

Clarion (4-6-3, 3-6-3 PSAC) goalkeeper Laura Saussol finished with nine saves while the Crimson Hawks keeper Mara Hricik saved both of the Clarion shots on goal.

The Golden Eagles return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday night where they will host Mercyhurst.
