Clarion/Venango/Forest Farm Bureau’s Annual Golf Outing Set for July 12

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion/Venango/Forest Farm Bureau’s Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for this Saturday at Clarion Oaks Golf Club in Clarion. Space is still available.

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12.

The Golf Outing is held each year as a fundraiser for its Agriculture Education Outreach Program. There is still space available, and you can sign up to participate by calling Rick Griebel at 814-744-9233 or Elise Deitz at 814-227-8101.

Cost is $240 per four person team, cash prizes will be awarded. Lunch is provided at the turn, and dinner will follow.

CVF Farm Bureau assists local teachers who wish to attend the annual Ag in the Classroom program, as well as local students interested in attending the annual youth conference, FACE (Fueling Agriculture and Cultivating Excellence). Assistance is also offered to schools to host the Friend’s of Ag Foundation’s Mobile Ag Lab.

In 2015, CVF Farm Bureau will also offer four scholarships to students who are members of Clarion/Venango/Forest Farm Bureau member families. Students must be enrolled to attend one of a variety of post secondary institutions for the next school year. These include, but are not limited to, four year colleges, business colleges, graduate schools, technical schools, trade schools, and community colleges.

The mission statement of Clarion/Venango/Forest County Farm Bureau is: To be an active and unified voice of the Clarion/Venango/Forest County Farm Bureau membership through policy development, education, political engagement and community enhancement endeavors.
