Cleman A. Monrean

Cleman A. Monrean, 71, of Fairmount City, died Thursday, August 31, 2017, at his residence.

Born on November 5, 1945, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Nora (Stahlman) Monrean.

He was married on July 20, 1974, to Catherine M. (Buzzard) and she survives.

Clem was a farmer and worked as a Redbank Township supervisor for many years. He also was a heavy equipment operator for various coal companies including Reddinger Coal Co.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine, of Fairmount City, four children, Jason Monrean and his wife, Alison, of Fairmount City, Justin Monrean and his wife, Marcy, of Fairmount City, Maria Renninger and her husband, Steve, of Brookville and Pete Monrean and his wife, Erin, of Fairmount City, twelve grandchildren, Makayla, Makenna, Anthony, Alex, Cole, Broc, Cammie, Karley, Riley, Caine, Mya and Bexley, also surviving are, two sisters, Millie Farley of Clarion and Bobbie Kunselman and her husband, Gary, of New Bethlehem.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Private funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 12 noon, with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.

Interment will be held in the Salem Cemetery, in Frogtown.
