IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Clintonville man is accused of possession of Methamphetamine and criminal trespass at a property located on Dog Hollow Road, in Irwin Township, Venango County.

According to court documents, criminal charges were filed against 40-year-old Guy Bradley Simens, of Clintonville.

According to a criminal complaint, on February 2, Cpl. Elliott and Trooper Michael Orrvick, of Franklin-based State Police, were dispatched to a residence on Dog Hollow Road in Irwin Township for a report that there was someone in the basement. The resident said that an unknown male just walked into the basement of her house uninvited and without permission. The victim said the man was acting strange and told her his name was Guy Simens. He also told her his truck was broken down on Dog Hollow Road. He then left the residence and walked into the woods behind her house. The victim provided the officers with a description of the suspect.

The complaint indicates that police conducted a search of the area and found a pickup truck on the lane at a property on Dog Hollow Road. The vehicle was situated beyond a gate across the lane leading back to a cabin. The property was posted with “Keep Out” and “No Trespassing” signs. A BMV check revealed that the truck was registered to Simens.

The complaint states that Cpl. Elliott and Trooper Orrvick located Simens inside the cabin. Simens claimed to have permission to enter the cabin but would not tell Trooper Orrvick who the cabin’s owner was to verify whether he had permission or not. He then stated that “Salynn” was the owner of the cabin. He would not let police in and defied numerous order by them to exit the cabin. Police gained entry to the cabin and took Simens into custody. Simens was allegedly found to be in possession of a metal vial containing a substance that NIK tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Police contacted the victim who verified that she had a daughter named “Salynn,” but she did not own the cabin in question, the complaint continues.

Based on his investigation, Trooper Orrvick requested an arrest warrant be issued for Simens.

He was arraigned at 1:14 p.m. on February 2 in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office and faces the following charges:

  • – Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3 (two counts)
  • – Defiant Trespass Posted, Misdemeanor 3
  • – Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
  • – Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, Simens was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on February 10 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
