Clintonville Woman Accused of Taking Money from Wallet Left at Local Gas Station

CLINTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Clintonville woman is accused of taking $300.00 from a wallet that was left at a local gas station.

Court documents indicate Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 29-year-old Brandy Marie Malachina, of Clintonville.

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:14 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, Brandy Malachina took $300.00 from a known victim’s wallet which was accidentally left on the counter at a gas station located on State Route 308, in Clinton Township, Venango County.

Based on the investigation, Malachina was arraigned at 2:28 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office on the following charge:

– Theft of Property Lost Etc. by Mistake, Misdemeanor 1

She remains free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26, with Judge Lowrey presiding.
