OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT)— An Oil City woman who presented false identification to law enforcement officers waived her preliminary hearing earlier this week.

According to court documents, the case against 29-year-old Dana Louise Marlowe, of Oil City, was transferred to the Venango County Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday, April 25.

Marlowe was released from the Venango County Jail on April 25 after her bail was changed from $15,000.00 monetary to $15,000.00 unsecured.

Case details:

According to a criminal complaint, around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, officers were dispatched to the intersection between Chestnut Street and Spruce Street after receiving a report of suspicious activity between three individuals in a black truck.

Upon arrival, officers observed Marlow leaning out of the driver’s door, appearing to be physically ill.

During the investigation, officers questioned Marlowe and asked if she possessed identification, which she denied. One of the officers conducting the investigation recognized Marlowe but could not recall her identity and, after further probing for information, Marlowe finally identified herself as “Megan Marlowe.” Upon being provided this piece of information, the officer immediately recalled Marlowe’s real identity and proceeded to take her into custody on the charge of presenting False Identification to Law Enforcement Officers.
