Franklin Man Facing Charges for Fleeing Court Appointed Rehab

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – A Franklin man is facing charges after it was discovered that he fled from a court-appointed rehab program.

Court documents indicate the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 36-year-old Jeffery Feely Jr., of Franklin.

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:01 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, officers of the Oil City Police Department were dispatched to the area of the Family Dollar store in Franklin to assist in the apprehension of Jeffrey Feely Jr.

According to the complaint, the officers located Feely and took him into custody outside of a residence on Wilson Avenue.

The complaint notes that while Feely was in custody, it was discovered that he signed himself out of court-appointed rehab in Erie and was on the run.

According to the complaint, a witness also stated that Feely opened the door of their residence and entered the home without permission.

Feely was arraigned at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, on the following charges:

– Flight To Avoid Appreh/Trial/Punishment, Misdemeanor 2
– Disorder Conduct Hazardous/Physi Offense, Misdemeanor 3
– Criminal Trespass/Simple Trespasser, Summary

Unable to post $15,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, with Judge Fish presiding.
