Oil City Man Accused of Statutory Sexual Assault of 13-Year-Old Girl

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man is facing statutory sexual assault and related charges stemming from an alleged incident that occurred at his residence on Jefferson Street, in Oil City.

According to court records, Franklin-based State Police filed criminal charges against 19-year-old Justin Waid Hunter, of Oil City.

According to a criminal complaint, around 1:00 p.m. on July 26, Officer Latshaw, of PSP Franklin, interviewed Justin Waid Hunter “regarding his involvement with a known, 13-year-old female and her running away the night prior.”

During the course of the interview, Hunter “admitted that he picked up the known 13-year-old near her residence on Belmar Road, Sandycreek Township sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. on July 25. He then drove her to his residence on Jefferson Street, in Oil City. They arrived at Hunter’s residence around 1:00 a.m. The (known 13-year-old) remained at Hunter’s residence until he drove her to his father’s house around 1:00 p.m. on July 25,” the complaint states.

According to the complaint, Hunter allegedly told police that he and the 13-year-old female had sexual intercourse at his residence.

Based on her investigation, Officer Latshaw filed criminal charges against Hunter in District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office.

He was arraigned at 3:30 p.m. on July 26 on the following charges:

  • Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse Person Less Than 16 Years Age
  • Statutory Sexual Assault: 4-8 Years Older
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault — Complainant Less Than 16
  • Corruption of Minors
  • Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Years Age

Unable to post $75,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on August 3 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Fish presiding.
