Charges Held for Court Against Oil City Woman Caught with Meth, Heroin, Pills

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Charges against a 22-year-old Oil City woman discovered in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and prescription medication earlier this month have been held for court.

According to court documents, the following charges against 22-year-old Kaila Rae Rose Sloan, of Oil City, have been transferred to Venango County Court of Common Pleas:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Intentional Possession of Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor (four counts)
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Sloan is currently free on $15,000.00 unsecured bail.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, on Saturday, May 19, officers of the Oil City Police Department responded to the area of Glenview Avenue for found property. The property was reported to be a purse with syringes inside. Upon taking possession of the brown purse, officers discovered the purse belonged to Kaila Sloan.

While obtaining the identity of the owner, officers also observed multiple plastic ziplock style baggies containing suspected methamphetamine along with multiple pills and other items of drug paraphernalia including plastic baggies and digital scales.

On May 27, Ptlm. Ruditis performed field tests on the suspected methamphetamine seized from the purse, and the test provided positive results. Ptlm. Ruditis also noted that another baggie contained suspected heroin, five Hydrocodone pills, and three Buprenorphine pills.
