Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, Trooper Cirell, of Franklin-based State Police, was dispatched to a residence on Plum Drive in Franklin, Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Upon arrival, Trooper Cirell spoke with several witnesses who provided written statements in regards to the incident.

It was learned that Raymond Hoffman engaged in an argument with a female victim.

A male victim asked Hoffman to leave the residence, but as he stepped out onto the front porch, Hoffman allegedly drew his Taurus PT111 G2 9mm pistol from its holster. While allegedly aiming it at the front door of the residence, he said, “Tell that ginger (expletive) to come out here. I will shoot him,” according to the complaint.

It was also learned that Hoffman told the female victim on December 8 that “if the same thing happened again, it was going to be a bad situation (and ) that he would kill (her) then kill himself,” the complaint indicates.

Hoffman was arraigned at 1:20 a.m. on December 13 in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey.

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail on December 13.

He was released on December 19 after his bail was modified to unsecured bail.
