UPDATE: Oil City Woman Accused of Rape of 15-Year-Old Boy Awaits Preliminary Hearing

gavelOIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City woman who has been accused of raping a 15-year-old boy is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

According to court documents, the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 34-year-old Lisa Marie Stahlman, of Oil City.

According to a criminal complaint, sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on May 13, Lisa Marie Stahlman, “furnished brewed and malt beverages to a 15-year-old boy to a point of extreme intoxication and blackout at her residence (on Colbert Avenue, in Oil City). At that point, Stahlman had sexual intercourse with the victim in her living room on a pull out couch bed. These acts were witnessed and viewed by five additional minor children in the house, one of which initiated the police report.”

The complaint states that the initial report was made to Officer Culp, of the Oil City Police Department, from the victim in a recorded statement collected. Additionally, the victim’s mother was interviewed. She reported that she received text messages reporting the crime.

Upon arrival at Stahlman’s residence, Officer Culp spoke to the juvenile witnesses who stated they observed Stahlman furnish the 15-year-old victim alcohol to a point of intoxication. The witnesses also observed Stahlman engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim in the living room, the complaint continues.

Officers on scene made contact with Venango County Children and Youth Services. The on-call delegate responded to the scene and made provisional care for Stahlman’s minor children who reside with her, police say.

Based on his investigation, Officer Culp requested the court to issue an arrest warrant for Stahlman.

She was arraigned at 10:30 a.m. on May 15 in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish on the following charges:

  • Rape Substantially Impaired Person
  • Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years Older
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault – Comp. Less Than 16
  • Sexual Assault
  • Corruption of Minors (two counts)
  • Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Yrs Age
  • Sell/Furnish Liquor Etc Minor

Unable to post $250,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on May 25 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Fish presiding.
