Connie M. Carnahan, 76, of Clarion, passed away early Sunday Morning, January 1, 2017 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born on November 12, 1940 in Clarion; daughter of the late Boyd James and Myrtle Myers Glinkerman.

Connie was married on January 27, 1960 to Donald R. Carnahan, and he survives.

She worked in the Day Care Business.

Connie enjoyed working with children and last worked at Otero County Day Care in Otero, New Mexico.

She was a member and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star Alamo chapter 11.

Connie enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, and her cats.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Theresa McMullen and her husband Wally of San Antonio, TX, two grandsons, Gregory Shannon and his wife Ruth of Virginia and Anthony Shannon and his wife Vasti of South Carolina, four great grandchildren, Mekhi, Khalid, Malia, and Kornell Shannon all of South Carolina.

Connie is also survived by one brother, Donald Glinkerman of Summerville, two sisters, Mable Lancaster of Jackson, OH and Sandy Doverspike and her husband Melvin of Mayport.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Olive Hepler, Ella Cramer, Mary Alexander, Jean Glinkerman, her brothers, Vern , Fred, Daryl, and Morgan Glinkerman.

Funeral Services will be announced at a later date.

The Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion is handling the arrangements.
