Cook Forest’s Sawmill Center Will Host Festival of Trees

| October 4, 2017

COOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) —  The long-running and highly-anticipated Festival of Trees, which was held for many years at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda, has found a new home at the Sawmill Center for the Arts in Cook Forest.

Festival of Trees will open at 10 a.m., Friday, December 1 and run until 8 p.m. Saturday, December 2. The hours will be 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on both days.

The event will feature local entertainers, a wide variety of crafters, and of course, dozens of beautifully-decorated Christmas trees.

The public is invited to stop in and enjoy local school and church choirs, as their music fills the facility with the sounds of the season. Then, attendees can peruse the dozens of vendors, selling homemade crafts and Christmas gifts.

The Sawmill Center will be filled with live Christmas trees, beautifully decorated by local businesses and organizations.  The trees will be for sale and may be taken, as is, at the end of the event. Prices will range from $100 to $300.

A Chinese auction will offer guests the chance to win prizes. Food will also be available throughout the event.

A $1 admission fee will be collected at the door. All proceeds from the event benefit the Sawmill Center for the Arts, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
