FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Venango County Commissioners approved changes in polling locations for Cooperstown and Franklin Precinct 3 at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Cooperstown will be moving to the township building.

The issue at the Cooperstown location, which was the library, was primarily related to a lack of adequate space.

The handicap ramp and the size of the room utilized were the issues at the New Life Family Worship Center Church of God, Franklin Precinct 3’s current polling location.

A new location for Franklin Precinct 3 has not been determined.

A proposed change in the polling location for President Township was not approved.

The issue at the location, the President Township Volunteer Fire Department, was related to the cleanliness of the restroom facility at the location, which the commissioners did not consider an adequate reason to change the location.

“We can remedy that,” said Commissioner Timothy Brooks.

The changes proposed were based on concerns from poll workers.
